What an SEO check covers

These are the 12 points a serious SEO check should cover. The tool above checks the technical basics among them automatically: noindex and robots.txt, sitemap, mobile viewport, title and description, H1, canonical and structured data. The rest, such as backlinks, full speed metrics and local presence, we can go through with you in a free consultation call.

  1. Indexing

Whether Google crawls your important pages and adds them to the index, or some of them are blocked or missing altogether.

  2. robots.txt and noindex tags

Whether a rule is accidentally blocking pages or folders that should appear on Google.

  3. XML sitemap

Whether an up-to-date sitemap lists every page you want to promote, and only those.

  4. Load speed and Core Web Vitals

How fast the page loads and responds, especially on mobile, by the metrics Google measures.

  5. Mobile friendliness

Whether the site is easy to read and tap on a phone, not only on a computer.

  6. Titles and meta descriptions

Whether every page has a unique title and description that include the term the page targets.

  7. Heading structure and content

Whether there is one clear H1, orderly subheadings and content that answers what the visitor searched for.

  8. Duplicates and canonicals

Whether duplicate pages or several URLs for the same content split the strength between pages.

  9. Internal links

Whether your important pages receive links from within the site, with anchor text that describes them.

  10. Backlink profile

How many sites link to yours, at what level and from which fields, compared with the competitors ranking above you.

  11. Structured data (schema)

Whether markup helps Google and AI engines understand what the business sells, where and at what price.

  12. Local presence

Whether the business name, phone and address are consistent on the site and the Google Business Profile, for a business serving a specific area.

What to do with the results

The check shows where the site stands. The next step depends on what it finds:

  • When the site is technically sound but lacks authority against competitors, monthly organic SEO builds links and works on the site itself around the keywords you chose.
  • When a specific page is stuck on page two, targeted backlinks for that page can strengthen it, with no subscription.
  • When most customers come from your area, Google Maps promotion strengthens your Google Business Profile, with a heat map that shows where you appear.
  • When it is unclear which keywords to work on, one-off keyword research shows which terms bring customers and in what order to work.
  • To see what each option costs, the SEO price list shows every price before VAT.

Five checks you can do yourself right now

Before you consult anyone, free tools give you a first picture. Each of these checks takes a few minutes:

  1. The site search operator: Type site: followed directly by your site address into Google. If important pages are missing from the list, or pages that should not appear do, there is an indexing problem worth checking.
  2. Google Search Console: Connect your site to Search Console, Google's free tool. The pages report shows which pages are indexed, which are not, and why.
  3. PageSpeed Insights: Run your home page and your main service page through Google's PageSpeed Insights, and pay particular attention to the mobile result.
  4. How the page looks in results: Search for your business name and your main keyword, and check whether the title and description Google shows clearly explain what you sell and to whom.
  5. Compare with competitors: Search for the keyword that matters most to you and open the top three results. Note the depth of the content, the page structure and how well they answer the question compared with your page.
